Key hairstylist Thom McIntyre spills some tips about Bella's luscious locks:"She goes through different stages in the movie – a breakup, her depression and then new motivation in her life.” While still reveling in her romance with Edward (Robert Pattinson), “her hair is sort of fairy-tale looking, curly and girlish,” says McIntyre. “Then she goes through degrees of it being unkempt after Edward leaves her. As she comes out of her depression, her hair becomes relaxed and carefree, more of a soft wave… it’s meant to look natural and undone – it’s carefree and indicative of her lifestyle,” he adds.
To achieve these looks, Kristen’s hair was washed with Kerastase Bain Miroir shampoo and conditioner for colour-treated hair. It was then onto Kerastase Nutri-Sculpt Mousse “because it worked with the natural waves in her hair and gave it movement.” When trying to play up the curl, a 1 to 1.5-inch curling iron was used on the ends and then the whole style was misted with hairspray. Voila! Instant Bella beauty.
